Our Goal & Who We Are

Most software agencies lack a strong emotional connection to the outcome they produce. The result: they build mediocre (or down-right bad) Apps/Software (in terms of things like technical scalability & robustness, user experience, design or data security or user safety).

QuickBird is built on values. And one value is: if our team grows but our products start to suck, we didn't actually grow. We compromised company growth over product quality. And that's something we will not do.

Our goal will always stay: building reliable, safe Software that feels great to use.

Our customers rely on us to deliver exactly that. And we are able to do so because we share a deep love for the craft of developing and designing outstanding software pieces, and we care about our customers.

Our Principles

To enable this we have a set of principles. We uphold them every day. They are the foundation of our decisions.

1️⃣ Customer Satisfaction

Delivering products with an outstanding user experience in a given time/effort frame is our top priority. If technical or non-technical decisions don't improve customer satisfaction either in the short run or the long run, they do not add any value.

Two things fundamentally shape the customer's satisfaction

  1. delivering products that fit the customer's need 📦
  2. delivering these products in time 🕘 (that's one less thing they need to worry about in their busy work life, and beats most of our competition)

2️⃣ Humbleness

We never believe we know everything. We always critically question our opinions and those of others. We always try to improve ourselves. If we don't know something or have a weakness at something, we tell our peers to enable good decision-making.

That also goes for feedback: if we receive feedback, we listen to it and take it seriously. It’s easy to become defensive when receiving feedback. We resist that urge. Feedback is an opportunity to grow, not a threat - and we treat it as such.

3️⃣ Trust

We treat our teammates and customers with respect and honesty. We are honest when we don't know or understand something even if admitting might seem embarrassing at first. We tell our customers and colleagues if we find issues and communicate them transparently.

And we don’t talk bad or gossip about our customers or our colleagues behind their back. We have the courage to tell them directly if we have a complaint.

4️⃣ Proactivity

We are a proactive team. If we see a relevant problem, we solve it instead of waiting for somebody else to do it. We proactively take over any work to push the project forward. Even if it’s not the most fun thing to do: we focus on the overall goal of shipping great products.
